Since 2006, The Come Out and Play Festival has been an annual celebration of “street games that turn cities into giant playgrounds.” From huge scavenger hunts with innovative smart phone technology to new sports to living labyrinths, the Come Out and Play Festival continues to showcase new street games from around the world.

If you love making street games or would like to give it a try, this is your chance to get a big group of people to come out and play! This year, Come Out and Play is running a Field Day as part of New York City’s River to River festival.

Do you have your own game you’d like to submit? They are accepting applications for games until May 27th.

The Field day will happen on a hopefully very sunny July 16th on Governor’s Island.

You can find more information about the festival and the application for submitting your game design here.
